over the hedge
was planning to watch a movie yesterday but found that if i went earlier in the day, i could get it a couple of bucks cheaper. thus decided to change the movie date from saturday to sunday.well Bryan said the streets of Philadelphia were pretty clean. hehehe sorry bro but those photos were not of the streets. took this photo to show you what i mean.
think its a monument? actually its a school. yeah i know what you're thinking. well just a little bit of history lesson. philadelphia is the oldest city in america from what i hear and thus there are still buildings that look old. and also the reason why you see those electric poles. however, you can only see this in the suburban area and not in town.
however, despite all the litter and trash on the streets, philadelphia still has a lot of beautiful places like this park above. and it looks much better in summer with all the leaves than naked winter.
finally reaching the cinema which has something like 20 screens? yeah it is that big. we went to watch 'Over the Hedge' at USD7.25 per person for earlier discounted shows compared to the normal USD9. pretty good movie which i definitely recommend. some really funny scenes as well.
could not take any photos while inside the cinema in case they thought i was going to pirate the movie. so here's some shots outside the cinema.
here's some shops beside the cinema. they usually have an arcade and some place selling food. however at the time we were there (around 11am on sunday), all the shops around the cinema were closed.
